The Pancreatic Cyst Surveillance Program

The Pancreatic Cyst Surveillance Program is an extension of the Muzzi Mirza Pancreatic Cancer Prevention & Genetics Program, designed to evaluate patients with known or suspected pancreatic cysts. This program is devoted solely to patients with IPMN (Intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm) or pancreatic cysts to provide specialized surveillance by expert physicians in this field from multidisciplinary practices.

Patients evaluated in our program are discussed in our weekly multidisciplinary conference where an aggressive plan of surveillance is determined by our experts in interventional endoscopy, surgery and oncology. Each plan is tailored to meet each patient's specific needs. A plan can consist of 6 months or yearly intervals of imaging and endoscopy or possible surgery. By offering a practice to monitor patients with known precursors to this disease, we strive to take a positive step towards fighting pancreatic cancer.
