Peregrine Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
Peregrine Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is proud to sponsor the cocktail reception at the Gigi Shaw Arledge Conference on Pancreatic Disease. Peregrine Pharmaceuticals is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing and manufacturing first-in-class monoclonal antibodies for the treatment of cancer and viral infections.
Our lead candidate bavituximab targets phosphatidylserine (PS), an immunosuppressive molecule usually located inside cells which becomes exposed on the cells lining tumor blood vessels and virus-infected cells.
Bavituximab is currently in four randomized Phase II clinical trials in non-small cell lung cancer, pancreatic cancer, and HCV, as well as four investigator-sponsored trials in additional oncology indications.
In prior clinical studies, bavituximab in combination with chemotherapy has demonstrated promising tumor response and survival data.
Our second clinical candidate Cotara has shown encouraging 8.8 month median overall survival in a Phase II trial in 41 recurrent glioblastoma multiforme patients.
A novel, single-treatment approach to brain cancer, Cotara links a radioactive isotope to a monoclonal antibody that binds to the DNA/histone complex exposed by dead and dying cells found at the center of solid tumors, irradiating the tumor from the inside out, with minimal radiation exposure to healthy tissue.
Peregrine has cGMP biomanufacturing capabilities through Avid Bioservices, a fully-integrated subsidiary that provides products for our clinical trials as well as clinical and commercial products for third-party clients.
RedPath Integrated Pathology
RedPath Integrated Pathology is a genomics-based cancer diagnostics company that can resolve challenging cases for patients who may or may not have cancer.
Our primary focus is clarifying the status of patients with pancreatic cystic lesions and masses.
RedPath's PathFinderTG® analysis integrates a patented, multi-tiered DNA analysis with clinical data to provide unique diagnostic information.
This approach enables gastroenterologists and gastrointestinal clinicians to obtain detailed diagnostic information to make more informed management decisions, thus improving patient care and reducing health care costs.
PathFinderTG's greatest value for pancreatic lesions is when traditional diagnostic tests produce inconclusive results, such as indeterminate or inconsistent imaging, cytology or fluid chemistry.
Threshold Pharmaceuticals
Threshold Pharmaceuticals is proud to sponsor the faculty dinner for the Gigi Shaw Arledge Conference on Pancreatic Disease.
Since its founding in 2002, Threshold has been focused on developing therapeutics that target the unique metabolic properties of solid tumors as well as some hematologic malignancies.
Our novel hypoxia-targeted prodrug, TH-302, is currently being evaluated in a controlled Phase 2 clinical trial in combination with gemcitabine in patients with pancreatic cancer, with top-line results expected by the end of this year.
In addition, the company has ongoing clinical studies with TH-302 in a variety of other cancers, both as monotherapy as well as in combination with several other approved agents.
